Flora Lucille Harkiss

Flora Lucille Harkiss was born on August 6, 1943 and passed away on October 25, 2017, at the age of 74 years old. Flora was born in Kinistino, SK and later moved to Flin Flon, MB where she was raised. She later moved to Calgary, AB in the early 1980’s. She worked at many various jobs up until the age of 72 years.

Flora loved spending time with her family, watching old movies and traveling. She loved hearing stories of every ones activities and sharing in her grandchildren’s lives. She also loved making and sharing her bannock with her guests over a cup of coffee or tea. Her friends and acquaintances spanned generations, she always had a kind word for everyone.

Flora was predeceased by her life partner, Dennis Hayden, on October 28, 2001. Together they raised ten children: Ivan (Margo), Valerie (David), James, Michelle (Shona), Dennis Jr, Nikki (Joe), Noella (Holly), Margaret (Darcy), Rachelle (Dean), and Miranda (BJ). She had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends. She will be sadly missed by many.
