Fellows, Evelyn Audry

May 25, 1940 – April 1, 2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Evelyn Fellows. Mom passed peacefully on April 1, 2020 in Calgary, Alberta. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Mel (Judy) and Vivian, sons Greg and Scott (Meryl), her four grandchildren Jim, Laurie, Bryan, and Linda, her nieces and nephews, and the many, many friends she made throughout her lifetime. We take comfort in knowing that she’s now reunited with her predeceased parents, Alan Richards and Mary Richards (Lahoda), and her loving son Ken.

Mom’s determined spirit led her to a career in the printing industry, building her own printing company that supported businesses across southern Alberta. She was devoted to raising her three sons against the odds, always putting their needs above hers, with her own incorrigible sense of humour, freedom and love, all of which she gave to her boys. Mom was a wandering star and found a home wherever she could hang her hat, including throughout Calgary, Airdrie, Surrey, Sarnia, Montreal, and more recently in Trochu and High River. She had a particular fondness for rescue dogs, and loved nothing more than walking her dogs under the open skies of the prairies and badlands. Mom loved to laugh, and we’d like to think she got one last jab by leaving us on April 1st.

We cannot thank Dave and Mike enough for all of their help throughout the years. Mom loved you both like sons. A heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Bethany Riverview in Calgary for caring for Mom during her final years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society.

Long may you run, Mom, until we meet again.
