Eugene Daryl Skinner

Eugene Skinner passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the age of 68 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Deborah; 12 children; 42 grandchildren, with one more to arrive shortly; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, of Calgary, AB; one sister, of Creston, BC; and many more family and friends. Eugene was born and raised in Kelvington, SK. He was a long haul truck driver and so his truck was his home for most of his life. Once he slowed down in how much driving he was doing, Calgary became home. Eugene loved to work with is hands and was a jack of all trades, carpentry, welding, painting, building etc. He also loved to work in his yard with his tractor; yard work in the summer and snow removal in the winter. Most of all Eugene loved his family and to help others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Eugene’s life will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. A visitation will be held at the same time for those that wish to pay their respects to Eugene.
