Ernest Irving Bird
March 6, 1938 — June 19, 2018
Ernest Bird passed away at the George Boyack Care Centre on Tuesday June 19, 2018 at the age of 80 years. He was born in Goose Bay, Labrador to Thomas and Tamar Bird on March 6, 1938.
Ernie is pre-deceased by his wife, June Winnifred Bird and survived by his 4 sisters, Neta of Stoney Plain, AB.; Phyllis (Frank) Kelly of St. John’s, NL.; Laura (Ken) Munroe of Kamloops, BC.; Merle (Ernie) Blake of Burton, NB. as well as numerous grandchildren.
Ernie was a member of the Alberta Carpenters and Allied Workers Council. If desired, donations may be made in Ernie’s name to the SPCA.
Interment will take place in his home province of Labrador.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for in Calgary and will be announced at later date.
