Erica Black

Erica Black passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the age of 50 years. Erica was a born and raised Calgarian, Who had a fierce passion for women’s rights, organ donation and spending time in the kitchen with her daughter; Carolyn. She was a great cook who made many amazing meals for her friends and family. Erica was an animal lover whose favorite animal ( other then their cat Sassy of course) was a humpback whale.

As an adult, Erica returned to school to further her education. She received a degree in information design. Her love for writing, editing, and the oxford comma were nothing short of legendary. She had started documenting her experience with kidney disease and her personal experience in the health care system.

Erica had a well known love for artist; Peter Gabriel. She would often comment that he had a song for every moment in life. She was very proud of the fact that her daughter gained a love not only of Peter Gabriel but of many of the classic rock artists of artist of her generation.

Erica is survived by her daughter Carolyn, her father; Eugene Black and her sister; Ronna Black
