Eileen Joyce Cooper

Eileen Cooper passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the age of 93 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of seventy five years, Roy Cooper of Calgary, AB; Her son, Paul (Heather) Cooper of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Tina ( Terry) O’brien of Airdrie, AB, Corrine Cooper of Calgary, AB, and Michael (Nicole) Cooper of Okotoks, AB; As well as Eileen’s Great-grandson, Bryce.
Eileen was predeceased by her sister, Frieda Wills and Frieda’s husband Charlie Wills.
Eileen was born on August 29, 1930 in Northampton England. She came to Canada with Paul to be with the love of her life, Roy. They first relocated to Ontario, later finding themselves in Manitoba where they both found employment on a reserve. Eileen flourished in her career as a nurse and enjoyed working with young people. This brought Eileen and Roy to British Columbia where they both worked with at-risk youth. They later found themselves in Calgary, AB where they would spend their remaining years.
Eileen loved to play games. In her later years she found joy in video games; And could be found playing her PS3. She loved camping and was a huge animal lover. Who loved her dogs like children.
Eileen will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Service will be held for Eileen at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
