ODDAN, Edward May 20, 1931 February 4, 2013
Edward Oddan passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the age of 81 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years Theresa Oddan; children Wes (Kellie) Oddan and Rhonda (Ed) Messer; grandchildren Chelsie and Natalie; brother Leonard (Loretta) Oddan; and many more family and friends. Edward was born in the community of Kincorth, Saskatchewan where he grew up with his parents Engmann and Julia, and brothers Ernest, Orval, Raymond, Lawrence, and Leonard. He married Theresa in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on July 2, 1955. Edward was an autobody mechanic by trade who had a real love of fixing things. He spent many hours working on projects in his garage at home. Edward loved camping in the mountains and spending time with his family. He loved to laugh and have fun and truly enjoyed a good practical joke; he liked listening to old time country music, and loved working on antique and classic cars. His true passion though was for rebuilding and flying Aircraft. Throughout his life it was not uncommon to see an airplane in some state of completion in his garage or hear an aircraft engine being tested in the alley. A Visitation will be held for Edward at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Emmanuel Community Church, 3003 28 Street SE, on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Aicken officiating. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Emmanuel Community Church.
