Edward August Rawlyk

RAWLYK, Edward “Eddie” August August 24, 1947 December 2, 2012 Eddie passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the age 65 years. He leaves behind his spouse of 16 years Norma (Peggy) Layne-Akinbode; step-sons Fabian Layne and Joseph Akinbode; and six step-children. Eddie is also survived by his brothers Gordon (Jean) and Danny and his sister Margaret. He was predeceased by his parents Sophie (nee Matwishen) and Peter Rawlyk. Eddie enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and traveling. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. All those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 17 Avenue SE) on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Eddie’s name to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, #100, 119 14 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6.
