Eduardo Manuel Paiva

On Monday, April 21, 2025 Eduardo Manuel Paiva of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 71 years.

Eduardo was born in Azores, Portugal. He immigrated to Canada in 1970, and lived in Ottawa, Ontario. Eduardo permanently moved to Calgary in 2020. He worked in the family business working with curtains and blinds. Eduardo worked in a warehouse as a forklift operator. He also studied to obtain his real estate license.

Eduardo is survived by his sons Jonathan and Phillip Paiva and their mother Fern Silveira of Gateneau, Quebec; his mother Angelina Paiva of Calgary; his sister Goretty and her husband Manuel Bettencourt of Calgary; his nieces Stephanie and her husband Aaron Serrano of Calgary, Melanie Skinner of Calgary; his great-niece Isabella Brooklyn Serrano of Calgary; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Manuel Paiva.

A service for family and friends will take place at a later date. Cremation has been held at the Foothills Crematorium. Eduardo's urn will be placed to rest with his Dad at Queen's Park Cemetery.
