Dorothy Arlene Irving (Nee Constable Wood)

On Saturday, December 3, 2022 Mrs. Dorothy Arlene Irving (adopted Wood, biological Constable), beloved wife of the late Percy Irving, of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 82 years.

Dorothy was born on September 23, 1940 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island to Roland and Sadie (nee Horton) Constable. She was adopted at the age of four years old by Frank and Victoria (nee Horton, Sadie’s sister) Wood. Dorothy raised seven children, three girls and four boys.

Dorothy is survived by her loving children Arlene and her husband Mike St. Onge, Eva, Gail, Percy Irving and his wife Susan, Leslie, and Brian; daughter-in-law Shirley Irving; grandchildren Billy, Matthew, Dale, Darren, Shannon, Andrew, Angela, Gary Jr., Anthony, Gregory, Steven; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; biological sister Gail MacDonald; brothers Rollie Constable and his wife Bonnie, and Steve Constable and his wife Carol.

Besides her loving husband Percy, Dorothy was predeceased by her son Gary; biological parents Roland and Sadie (nee Horton) Constable; adopted parents Frank and Victoria (nee Horton) Wood; sisters Eva Wood, Gail (Peter) Bordian; brother Greg Constable; and brother-in-law Neil MacDonald.

Graveside service with Dorothy’s urn will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Queen’s Park Cemetery, 3219 – 4 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta.
