Donna Patricia Margaret Buck was born November 13, 1947 in Calgary, Alberta and passed on Saturday February 27, 2021 at the age of 73. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Elmour Buck after agreeing to like each other for the past 26 years. Donna leaves behind 2 beautiful daughters, Dana Roy (Greg) and Beverly Chalk (applications accepted) and joined her baby boy in heaven, Wayne Campbell. Donna was a Grandma (“Gramsâ€) to 5 grandkids who loved her beyond measure, Jessika Chalk (Aaron), Nicole Nickel (Mike), Kenny Chalk (Tiffany), Stacey Flinn (Chris) and Kayla Roy (Suzy). Grams adored her 7 great grandchildren, McKenna, Mercedes, Michael, Brooke Lyn, Hailey, Alexa and Taylor.
Donna is the second oldest of 12 children and the only girl. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her brothers. We would say more here but she would be mad it would cost too much if we list all the names. Growing up with 11 brothers gave her strength, determination and a heck of a lot of patience.
Donna had an incredible sense of humour and was quick with a comeback that would stop you in your tracks…she would adore this tribute. Donna and Elmour spent their Saturday afternoons at the Legion with their close friends. She loved camping, cooking big meals for her family, and spending time with her puppy Zoey. Donna was the most generous, loving person and raised her children with the same values. Donna was a mother, grandma and friend to anyone who knew her. She was a very special lady and loved by so many. She was a beautiful and kind soul. We will miss her butter tarts!
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2021.
A Memorial Service will be held for Donna at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Thursday March 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Due to gathering restrictions, attendance will be limited to family. Friends are invited to view the livestream of Donna’s service by selecting the Watch Event link below.
