Donald Trevor Kenney

Trevor Kenney passed away at the Glenmore Beverley Care Centre on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the age of 84 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his four daughters Dianna (Robert) Stone, Joan (Chuck) Matheny, Fredda (Michael) Reeves and Colleen (Dave Graham) Kenney; four sons, Michael (Diane) Kenney, Patrick (Lisa Strosher) Kenney, Daniel (Tamara Shawa) Kenney and Ryun (Susan) Kenney; 24 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two sisters, Norma (Karl, deceased) Keeler and Glenda (Lynell) Korella; and many more family and friends. Trevor was born and raised in Calgary. He grew up in the Mission and Elbow Park communities. He attended school at Cliff Bungalow Elementary School and Central High School. Trevor graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in History and then pursued his law degree in Saskatoon at the University of Saskatchewan. Retiring at the age of 75, he had practiced law for 49 years. Trevor enjoyed many years of membership at both the Glencoe Club and the Glencoe Golf & Country Club where he enjoyed playing badminton and golfed avidly. He also greatly enjoyed working on his farm in Redlands, AB. A Funeral Service will be held for Trevor at the Glencoe Golf & Country Club (31002 Elbow River Drive SW, Calgary) on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm with his life history and memories being shared at 6:00 pm. A Family Graveside service will also be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Rockyview Garden of Peace Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to either the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ab.ca) or the Salvation Army (www.salvationarmy.ca).
