Donald Caves, father, grandfather, husband passed away at the Foothills Hospital July 7, 2018. He grew up in Winnipeg, and moved to Calgary in the 50’s where he worked for most of his career in the Finance departments of a large Oil Company. He leaves behind his wife Dorothy, children Kim, Carolyn (Sam), Dawn (Barry), Tom (Gail), Sandra (Alax), 5 grandchildren Gregory, Taylor, Samuel, Shannon, Logan, and 2 great grandchildren Jacoby, and Silas, as well as 2 surviving sisters, Doris and Thelma, brother- in-law Roger, and many nieces and nephews. We will remember Dad for many wonderful times – he was full of life — a jokester who mastered the voice of Donald Duck, who loved the piano and opera music, could hit a tennis serve that would almost knock you off the court, and the wonderful family summer vacations in Penticton, to name a few. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Hillcrest who cared for Donald, and also Dr. Catherine Heaton for her kind and skilled care for Donald. A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 15th from 2-4 pm at the Glamorgan Community Centre, 4207 41 Ave SW, Calgary.
