Donald Edwards passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the age of 79 years.
Don is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Daphne Reid, Deborah Mason, Donna (Kevin) Edwards, Crystal (Troy) Schhurer, Tina (Curtis) Sheridan; stepson, Lonnie Liblong; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Sokolowski.
He is predeceased by his parents, Horace and Sophie.
Don was born and grew up in Butler, Manitoba before moving to Alberta to pursue work. He had several occupations including farming, truck driving and labourer. He most enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and camping. Don had a cheerful and positive attitude which he maintained even when his health began to decline. He was friendly, well liked and he will be missed by many.
A Memorial Service for Don will take place at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday March 30 at 1:00pm.
