Diana Lynn Bushnell

February 5, 1951 — October 13, 2016

Diana Lynn Bushnell (Dobson)

Diana was born on February 5, 1951 in Regina to James and Marjorie Dobson. She attended Peart School and Central Collegiate.

After graduation she worked in Regina for a short time before moving to England where she worked in the television industry for Thames Television and Sky TV. Many friends were made during her 28 years in England.

Her greatest accomplishment and joy was the birth of her two children, Edward and Phoebe. Diana will be greatly missed by her son Edward (Sara) and their three children, Arthur, Max and Annie, her daughter Phoebe (Mike), her sister Pat Gaffney (Ted) and their five children and six grandchildren.

After moving back to Canada in 2000 she lived in Millarville and Black Diamond where she was active in Beneath the Arch, Square Butte Ladies and Book Club again making more friends. Diana reconnected with a high school friend, Penny Pike. They spent many wonderful days walking their dogs, going for lunch and enjoying each other’s company.

Diana was diagnosed with a severe form of Parkinson’s two years ago and resided at the long term care facility in Walden for the past 18 months. She chose to end her suffering on October 13, 2016 with her family by her side. A celebration of her life will be held on October 29th at 1:00pm at Square Butte Hall.

Diana loved animals and had many pets so she asked that any donations in her memory be made to Calgary Humane Society, 4455-110 Ave. SE, Calgary T2C 2T7.

Diana and her family want to thank her caregivers at Walden for their wonderful care.
