Devin Brooks

Devin Brooks passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the age of 37 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Judy Koltusky; his stepfather, Barrie Koltusky; his sisters, Amanda Nickel ( Randy), Melanie Koltusky ( Joe), Pamela Becker ( Meagan) and Robin Koltusky; Devin will also be remembered by his nieces, nephews and many cousins. he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Barbara Ursel; Paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Al Brooks; and his uncle, Dennis Brooks.

Devin was a true Calgarian, born and raised. As a child it was easy to see that Devin had a huge personality, was fiercely independent, and a force to be reckoned with.

Through an early diagnosis of a neurological disorder, Devin pushed on to always live his best life. As a child Devin loved ghost busters and he-man. He was the baby brother of four sisters, who would play dolls, dress up and let his big sisters drag him along on many adventures. Devin loved spending time with his nieces and nephews playing at the park and even going on the slide with them.

He was very passionate about music. Creating it, mixing it and above all; Listening to music. He would always have his headphones on ready to jam out. Devin’s smile, his laugh and his passion for music will be missed the most. Devin was a mama’s boy. But who could blame him when he has the best mom a boy could have.

A Funeral Service will be held for Devin at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
