Calgary

Dennis Neil Bella passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 in Calgary Alberta at the age of 56 years.

Dennis will be remembered as a kind-hearted, hardworking man who truly valued friendship, family, and the simple joys of life. He had a gift for connecting with people and never hesitated to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed.

One of Dennis’s favorite routines was meeting his good friend Al for breakfast at Border Crossing. He also cherished visiting his friend Fin on the farm, helping roof his trailer home and pitching in with whatever work needed to be done. Dennis was happiest when he was busy, working with his hands, and helping others.

Dennis loved meeting people and making friends everywhere he went. He especially enjoyed spending time visiting with Kim and Greg, proudly telling others, “They’re my friends.” His friendships meant the world to him.

Family was important to Dennis as well. He would often go hang out with or go play pool with cousins, Patrick Dyler (Booboo), James Dyler and uncle Mike Dyler. What mattered most to Dennis was simply being together. It never mattered if someone was down on their luck or didn’t have money - he just wanted their company and friendship.

A dedicated and dependable worker, Dennis spent much of his life in construction and painting, earning a reputation as a true jack-of-all-trades. He disliked standing still and was always looking for something productive to do.

Dennis also had a deep love of music. He especially enjoyed listening to The Tragically Hip, Terry Jacks, and Ozzy Osbourne. Whether working, relaxing, or spending time with friends, music was always part of his life.

He enjoyed simple comforts and favorite meals from places like Shawarma Palace, Wendy's, and a good hamburger shared with friends and family.

Dennis is survived by his partner of 20 years, Audrey Pelletier; daughter, Angelina Disney; uncle Mike Dyler; aunts, Barbara Dyler, Shirley Dyler & Bev Bains. He was predeceased by his mother, Jane Nadeau; father, Rudy Bella; grandmother, Emma Dyler; uncles, Ronald Dyler, Errol Dyler, Danny Dyler; and nephew, Cody Dyler.

His hugs, laughter and smile and his kind and generous heart will be greatly missed by numerous (too many to mention) family members and friends.
