Debra Elizabeth Ellis (nee Wood)

Debra Ellis passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at the age of 66 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ron; sons William Ellis and Derek Ellis; mother Betty Dunseith; brothers Ken (Sandra) Hartwick, of Abbotsford, BC, Gord (Nancy) Hartwick, of Blind Bay, BC, Fred (Heide) Hartwick, of Calgary, AB, and Terry (Chelsea) Hartwick, of Summerland, BC; brother-in-law Bill (Lorraine) Ellis, of Dalemead, AB; numerous nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Robert Wood.

Debra was born in New Market, ON. After growing up in Ontario, she moved to Red Deer, AB, where she eventually met and married the love of her life Ron. They were blessed with their two sons, William and Derek, and eventually made Calgary their home. Debra enjoyed a long career working in food services at the Rocky View Hospital for 35 years. She loved shopping, horses and getting together with family and friends. She was a hard worker and put everyone else before herself.

A Memorial Service will be held for Debra at Pierson's Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 - 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
