David Wayne Mckeen

David McKeen passed away on Monday May 9, 2022 at the age of 73 years.
David is survived by his son, Kevin (Michelle) McKeen and daughter, Linda McKeen; five grandchildren, Joseph, Samantha, Anna, Brenda & Truman; and six siblings, Jim, Kathy, Jane, Sandra, Jack & Pete along with many extended family and friends. He is pre-deceased by his mother, Ruth by just a few days.
David was born and raised in Hagersville, ON before moving to Calgary to pursue work in the 70’s. He was educated in computer programming and worked for many years before his health made it difficult for him to work. He raised a beautiful family who enjoyed spending time with him and whom he loved very much. David was a very creative and talented painter. He especially liked painting landscapes and scenery. He was also good at crochet where he made blankets and doilies. David could be very stubborn and opinionated. He loved a good debate and considered it a personal challenge to sway others to his opinion. He loved having the last word. His colorful personality and beautiful creativity will be missed greatly.
A Celebration of Life will be held for David at a later date.
