David Wallis Young

David Young passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the age of 58 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and partner for 29 years Christine Young; children Blake (Wendy) Young, Tyler Young, Kristi (Brandon) Odowichuk, Shellby Young, Kyle Young and Alantis Young; grandson Xavier; mother Anne Young; siblings Lynette Young, Bonny (Phil) Taylor, Chris (Rose) Young and Robyn (Kerry) McLauchlan; and many more family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his father Dale Young and sister Shelley Young.
David was born in Edmonton, AB, raised in the Okanagan in BC and then ended up in Calgary, AB where he has lived ever since. He was a hard worker throughout his life and worked his way up to be a Journeyman Mechanic without attending any schooling. Mostly he worked hard to provide his children with everything. Family was of the utmost importance to him. He also enjoyed darts, bowling, pool and camping.
A Funeral Service will be held for David at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow at Christine and Dave’s house to have a time of fellowship and share stories.
