David Douglas Shephard

After years of battling the devastating effects of cancer and its treatment, Dave has left those who love him in this world to join loved ones waiting in a better place. Dave was predeceased by his dad Fred, and his beloved daughter Jodi. Dave has left behind his partner Lori Pire; his daughters Tana (Pablo) and Sara (Shane); 6 1/2 grandchildren Andreanna, Julian, Natalia, Savannah, Dom, Caydence and a still to arrive baby girl. Dave will also be dearly missed by his Mom Alma; brother Monty (Gail); sister Deb; niece Katherine (James) and nephew Robert. Dave played hard and worked hard. He loved life and most important to him was teaching his girls to live, love and laugh. He had a big heart and cared deeply for his family and fought endlessly to recover from devastating health issues. An informal gathering for friends and family will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
