Darren Steven Sheriff
February 10, 1960 — October 10, 2023
Darren Sheriff passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the age of 63.
He will be dearly missed by his two children Angela Dawn Sheriff and Trevor Steven Sheriff (Brenda), his granddaughter Elise Sheriff, his brothers Darrell, Dave and Don, and his long time friend Toni Power.
Darren was predeceased by his parents Albert Sheriff (2014), Eva Sheriff (Resch) (2002) and brother Darcy (2008).
In his younger years Darren enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing with his brothers (even if rods got thrown into the water). His love of the outdoors continued on with his children, they loved packing up the old gold Nova and heading out to Kananaskis for weekend camping trips.
Working along side of his father, Darren was a skilled concrete finisher. He was a hard worker with an eye for detail. His perfectionist ways may have caused some choice words to be exchanged between him and his father, but the finished product would always be perfect and admired for years. This allowed Darren and his dad to bond and share stories along the way.
Although some would say he was stubborn, those who knew him knew he was determined and persistent to be supportive and loving. He would do anything and everything for others and never expected or asked for anything in return.
Darren’s greatest accomplishment in life are his two children Angela and Trevor. He was our biggest supporter in life, he would do anything for us and never cast judgment or disapproval. The hole left in our hearts will always be filled with many memories that will always be cherished.
His granddaughter Elise was the apple of his eye. He was so proud to be called Grandpa and held onto all the memories and keepsakes along the way.
Darren’s loved ones will always remember the times sitting around the fire pit sharing laughs and listening to music, even when the same song played over and over for hours.
At Darren’s request, no formal service will be held. A family gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation took place at the Foothills Crematorium.
