Curtis James Costiuk

On Sunday, May 3, 2026 Curtis James Costiuk, beloved husband of Wendy Ebing and beloved father of Calum and Conner of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 22 years.

Curtis lived his entire life in Calgary, a city that was much more than just home-it was the backdrop to his formative years and cherished memories.

From his early days, Curtis showed a vibrant personality marked by kindness and a sense of humor. He attended Jack James High School where he completed his education, laying a foundation that would support his early ventures into the workforce. Curtis spent about two years working at DURA stainless, followed by employment with Absolute Moving. These roles were integral parts of his young adult life, reflecting his dedication and work ethic.

Curtis was known for his passionate interests. A proud Star Wars fan, he also enjoyed building with Lego, immersing himself in video games, and playing soccer. These hobbies were not only sources of joy but also allowed him to connect with others and express his spirited nature.

A devoted individual from the age of 15, Curtis shared his life with Wendy, with whom he had two beloved sons. Calum, aged three, and Conner, aged one, were the center of his world. His love for his family was profound and unwavering. Those who knew Curtis remember a man who was goofy and always striving to bring smiles to those around him. His kind heart touched many, and his presence was a source of happiness to family and friends alike.

While his time was too short, the impact he made in the lives of those who knew him is enduring. Curtis was deeply loved, and his warmth and kindness will be remembered with great affection and respect.

Besides his wife and children, Curtis is survived by his mother Lindsay Odland; father, the late Clinton Costiuk; maternal grandparents Charly, Randy Odland; sisters Brittnay Odland of Calgary, Dehlia Odland of Trail, British Columbia; brother- in-law Alex Bazin of Calgary; niece Sophie Odland of Calgary; and nephew Sylas Davis of Trail, British Columbia.
