Corwin Davis Simeon “Ade”

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle and cousin, Corwin Davis Simeon “Ade”, at the age of 30, in the early morning of June 29, 2023, with his mother and brothers by his side. Ade loved listening to rock music, his favourite rock genre; glam rock and rock music from the 70’s and 80’s, music his mom introduced him to. He enjoyed playing bass and collected a few bass guitars. In his early 20’s, Ade did have a rock band with his late best friend, Elden. Growing up Ade was always a shy, quiet person, comfortable at home with family and enjoyed the outdoors. As a kid he was very curious about ants, birds and wildlife. You will find him outdoors exploring sometimes with binoculars, climbing trees, taking a keen interest in how insects to birds go about their day and would be fascinated by the wonders of nature. He also enjoyed crafts and as a child he would bring home his crafts from school and give it to a family member as gifts. As of late, Ade has been grieving for our loved ones gone before us, especially his brother Dwight and our grandmother Doreen and has been by his mother’s side more so than ever.

Corwin is survived by his mother, Renetta Simeon; brothers, Leon (Ness), Derwin Blair Rico and Ralph; special niece, Zoey Simeon; sisters, Teresa, Tysa, Fawn, Carlene (Tony), Tiffany (Nilan); grandparents, Martin & Eva Ironbow, Charlie & Cassie Mark; auntie and uncle next door, Florene & Gilbert Frances; uncles, Melcalm, Melvin, Merlin, Cedrick, and Garry; aunts, Barbara, Pammy, Kathy, & Shauna; close cousins, he grew up with Clint (Felicia), Cameron, Bailey (Reanne), Jessica (Carl), Kova, along with many nieces and nephews. Special appreciation and thank you to his wellness workers, Hee Jung and Angel from Stoney health services; other special relatives from Morley are families of Simeon, Mark, Baptiste, Chiniquay; and from O’chiese Nation. Apologies to those we have missed (many relatives).

Corwin was predeceased by his brother, Dwight Simeon; sister, Tanya Wildman; father, Richard Whitford; adopted brother, Keifer Holloway; best friend, Eldon Labelle; maternal grandparents, Carl & Doreen Simeon, Johnny & Georgie Mark; great-grandparents, Paul & Eunice Mark, Thomas & Frances Simeon; uncles, Leon Simeon, Justin Simeon, Jarvis Simeon, Vern Poucette, Jerome Poucette, Myrtis Mark, Daylon Ironbow; auntie, Verna Baptiste; cousins, Andrew Twoyoungmen, Justin Simeon jr., Rudy Baptiste and Cory Baptiste.

A Public Wake will be held at the Residence of Renetta Simeon on Thursday, July 6 and Friday, July 7, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held for Ade at Morley United Church on Saturday, July 8, 2023 At 1:00 p.m.
