Cheryl Ackerman

ACKERMAN, Cheryl Edith January 9, 1951 January 25, 2013 Cheryl peacefully passed away Friday afternoon, after a serious battle with adenoid cystic carcinoma, at the age of 62 years. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family; husband Phillip Ackerman; children/grandchildren Erin (Matthew) LeBaron and (Maia, Roxanne, Kallie and William), Cory (Jeremy) Wilde and (Pyper, Elliott and Uriah) and son Robert Van Ackerman and her sisters Brenda (Brooke) Bond and Cindy Waldie. Cheryl was born in Winnipeg, raised in Edmonton and lived her 39 year married life in the NW Calgary area. She was a most loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and L.D.S church member and leader. She loved people and the opportunity to know and work with them. She asked many questions and listened to the answers, acting upon many. She was a firm believer in “living a physically and spiritually active good life.” The family wishes to express sincere thanks and appreciation to her Foothills Hospital Doctors and Nurses and to the medical/voluntary staff of the Calgary Rosedale Hospice, where her last days were spent. There was great love and excellent care given her and family. Cheryl’s Funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cochrane Chapel (1100 Gleneagles Drive, Cochrane) on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation prior.
