Charles Harvey Jackson

Loving father, grandfather and great grandfather Charles “Harvey” Jackson passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2020 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 89 years. Dad was predeceased by Rosanna, his dear wife, our mother, grandmother and great grandmother in September of 2016. Harvey’s memory will be cherished by his loving children, Colleen and Don (Susan); and his grandson Marc (Lindsay) and great grandchildren, Taylor and Kylie, who he adored.

Born in Calgary, AB to parents Charles and Ella Jackson, Dad and Mom travelled exhaustively, with old friends and on their own. Dad enjoyed fishing, hunting, racing motorcycles, boating and snowmobiling all with Mom at his side. Dad retired as a

Calgary firefighter in 1986, choosing to spend time doing the things he loved.

Dad was independent and active until the stroke on Sunday, July 12th. He enjoyed life and felt that he had been given “extra time” which he utilized to the max. Many a great time was shared over the years with Colleen, Don and Susan, Marc, Lindsay, Taylor and Kylie at the acreage, plus many friends and the local feathered friends and squirrels.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the compassionate staff at the Foothills Hospital and Donna with No One Dies Alone. Dad and Mom, and Charlie will be together again as we spread their ashes at a spot which brought endless joy and memories.
