Cathy Virginia Anne Blondeau

Cathy Blondeau passed away peacefully after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the age of 67 years.

Living life on her own terms was something she believed in wholeheartedly, and Cathy remained true to that belief right up to her passing. She enjoyed playing competitive 8 ball pool, golfing (if the weather was right), cooking and spending time with family and friends especially if there was a game of Yahtzee or Scrabble to be played. In her quiet times she enjoyed reading or completing a challenging crossword.

Cathy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rebecca (Scott), Corey (Candice), Sean (Kate); 6 grandchildren, Jeff (Sarah), Courtney (Wyatt), Darion (Bree), Colten, Taytum, Aubrey; 4 great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Wren, Jack, Callie; siblings, John, Daniel (Lorette), Shelly (Paddy), Cindy (Ken); special family friend and chosen family member, Sean Hope; and many nieces and nephews and friends; She was predeceased by her parents, John and Nancy Blondeau.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Foothills Medical Centre and the Arthur JE Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre for the care and compassion they provided Cathy.

A Celebration of Life gathering to be planned and family will provide details at a later date.
