Catherine Edith Lafont

On Sunday, June 13, 2021 Mrs. Catherine Edith Fisher Lafont, beloved wife of Mr. Gerald Thomas Lafont of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 60 years old.

Cathy always showed her love by giving everyone a hard time. She always spoke her mind whether you wanted to hear it or not. Cathy always made the whole room laugh with her stories. She will always be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother and Wife.

Besides her loving husband, Gerald, Catherine is survived by her children David Lafont and his wife Karri, Jon-Ross Lafont and his wife Maureen, Sarah Lafont, all of Calgary; seven grandchildren Logan, Daymein, Adrian, Shey-lynn, Naomi, Alana, Catherine; three step-grandchildren Cole, Karsen, Mason; her brother Ken Fisher and his wife Cindy of Calgary; niece Molly Fisher; In-laws Gerald Sr. and Judy Lafont of Turner Valley; and her best friend of 47 years Alana Smith from Chatham, Ontario.

Catherine is predeceased by her parents Albert John Fisher and Patricia Anne Fisher (nee Mann); her sister Nancy Keller; and brothers John Fisher and Michael Fisher.

Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation for Cathy from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Pierson’s Funeral Chapel, 4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary.  Due to pandemic protocol, a maximum of 20 people are allowed in the building at one time.  Masks and social distancing are mandatory.  Please stagger your arrival.
