HARRISON, Carl Harvey June 24, 1938 August 15, 2012

Carl Harrison passed away after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the age of 74 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years Elizabeth Harrison; son Stephen Harrison; siblings Mary (Joe) Ronca, Doris (Rex) Deines and Julia Murphy all of Kelowna, BC; brother-in-law Ian (Dorothy) Wilson of Calgary, AB; sister-in-law Isabel Petrone of Stoney Plain, AB; numerous nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his in-laws Mary & John Wilson and brother-in-law David Petrone. Carl was born and raised in Calgary. He met the love of his life, Elizabeth, in 1962. Over the years Carl worked a few different jobs but his career was spent as a locksmith for the University of Calgary. His favorite past time was working on cars. He spent most of his spare time in the garage, and his son Stephen will always remember the time they spent together working on cars. Carl’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff on unit 47 at Foothills Hospital for their exceptional care. A Celebration of Carl’s life will be held at the Irish Cultural Society, 6452 35 Avenue NW, on Monday, August 20, 2012 from 1:00 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 29 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4N2.
