Bryce Richards Leavitt

Bryce Leavitt passed away peacefully on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the age of 85 years. He is survived by five sons; Dan (Cheryl), Eric (Kathyrn), Jeff (Elizabeth), Jim (LeeAnn) and Bill (Loraine); 25 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren and a large extended family. Bryce was predeceased by his wife, Diane and his siblings Tony Leavitt, Bill Leavitt and Beth Garner. Bryce was born in Cardston, Alberta and raised in Leavitt, Alberta. He married his high school sweetheart, Diane and after starting their young family moved to Calgary in 1956. Bryce was a very successful entrepreneur, but more than anything loved his family. He was also a talented pianist and thoroughly enjoyed music. Bryce was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in many callings. He was a wonderful patriarch and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation for Bryce at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Bow Valley Chapel (2526 – 24 Avenue NW, Calgary) on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
