It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Douglas Ronback, who passed away peacefully at home in Calgary, Alberta, on June 3, 2026, at the age of 73, with his beloved wife, soulmate, and love, Carolyn (Newborn) Ronbeck, by his side.

Brian was born on December 6, 1952, in Port Arthur, Ontario. He was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. A Journeyman Electrician by trade, Brian dedicated many years to his profession and went on to spend 31 years with Walmart Logistics, where he earned the respect and friendship of colleagues throughout his career.

Brian found great joy in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman who loved camping, boating, and spending time with family and friends. Known throughout his community as “Mr. Fix-It,” Brian could repair almost anything and was always ready to lend a helping hand. His kindness, practical wisdom, and dependable nature touched the lives of many.

Brian leaves behind his loving wife and soulmate, Carolyn Ronbeck (nee Newborn); his children Christopher (Aime) Ronbeck, Wesley (Nicole) Ronbeck, Patrick Ronbeck, Laura Ronbeck, and stepchildren; Debora Dancey, Pamela (Jamie) Lott, and Christopher (Robert) Dancey.

He was a proud grandfather to Nolan Ronbeck, Emery Ronbeck, Brayden Ronbeck, Parker Ronbeck, Chloe Ronbeck, Caleb Ronbeck, Madisson Ronbeck, Avery Ronbeck, Cody (Brooke-Lynn) Betterton, Jamie (Austin) Dixon, Alexander Lott, and Danielle Lott. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Bennett Betterton and Briggs Betterton.

Brian is survived by his mother, Viola Wren (nee Erickson); his siblings, Carol (Paul) Cassada, Jan (Randy) Duffie, Craig (Villa) Ronbeck, and Kim (Dan) Gallagher; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Norman Ronbeck; his stepfather, Henry Wren; and his sister Faye Ronbeck.

Brian’s legacy lives on through the family he loved, the friendships he cherished, and the countless people he helped throughout his life. He will be remembered for his unwavering generosity, his ability to fix almost anything, his love of the outdoors, and the warmth and laughter he brought to those around him.

Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
