Beatrice “Bea” Helen Torgersen

It is with great sadness to announce that our beloved Bea Torgersen, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital, on Friday, April 3, 2015 after a long battle with COPD. Bea was born in Stonewall, MB, and in her early twenties she moved to Calgary, AB, where she lived out the rest of her life. She worked at the Eastgate Restaurant for 30 years as a waitress, hostess, and book keeper, where she met her husband, Stan Torgersen. Bea and Stan where married March 26, 1988 and just celebrated their 27th anniversary. Bea leaves behind her husband, Stan; her 3 children, Michelle, Shane, and Alycia; and her 3 step-daughters, Pam, Jill, and Patti. She will also be greatly missed by her 12 adoring grandchildren. Bea was known for being a very strong and fun loving woman, friend, wife and mother, who was greatly admired among all who knew her. She loved music, dancing and most of all, her children. Relative and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Beatrice at Pierson’s Garden of Peace Chapel, 16 Avenue & Garden Road / 100 Street NE, Calgary, on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2:00pm.
