Aurora Elinor Maksymetz

Elinor Aurora Maksymetz (Gudmundson) was born to Lukka & John Gudmundson in Lundar, MB on September 1, 1928. She is pre-deceased by her loving husband, Bill in 1994; her mother and father; her siblings Runa, Frank, Thelma, Edna, Lilly, Ernir and Oscar.

She received her primary education in Lundar then moved to Winnipeg and started her working career. Elinor met the love of her life, Bill and together they moved west and settled in Calgary.

She enjoyed gardening and loved nature in general. Elinor and Bill spent many summers camping and fishing. She loved homemaking and was always improving her home and redecorating. She also took much pride in her personal appearance and was always perfectly dressed and accessorized.

Elinor’s loving sister, Ollie; nephew Doug (Brenda); niece Gail (Sam) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention are left behind to celebrate her life.

A Funeral Service will be held for Aurora at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Friday September 14 at 10:00am with reception to follow.
