Arlene Faye Primeau

October 4, 1949 — August 25, 2023

Arlene Primeau of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully in her sleep at home after a short battle of cancer on August 25th, 2023 at the age of 73 years.

Arlene was born on Oct. 4th, 1949 in Prince Albert, SK to Larry and Lenore Primeau; where she lived with her family and had her daughter, Ronay Shelton Norlen. She then ventured to Edmonton, AB and had her son, Ryan Norlen. She then lived in Peace River, Grande Prairie, Red Deer and Calgary, AB. Arlene was very spiritual and lived life to the fullest, always dancing and had a generous heart for people and her animals. She loved chasing the next adventure and was a fierce protector of her loved ones.

Arlene worked in Alberta as a legal secretary and had a passion for restoring antique furniture and creating art into stained glass. She had a dream of becoming a pilot and soared through the clouds on many flight lessons.

Arlene was predeceased by her parents, Larry and Lenore Primeau; as well as many Aunts and Uncles.

She is survived by her daughter, Ronay Norlen Shelton of West Kelowna, BC; her grandchildren, Jordan Shelton and Jennika Shelton of West Kelowna, BC; Her son, Ryan Norlen of Turner Valley, AB; her grandson, Seth McGillvary of Grande Prairie, AB; Ron Primeau of Saskatoon, SK and so many other family members in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

She leaves behind beautiful friends and will be deeply missed by many. She loved sharing her adventurous stories of travel and was proud of her Metis heritage.

Upon her request there will be no service, Cherish her in your memories and hold your loved ones close. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
