It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Arlene Bard at the age of 85 years, after a battle with Alzheimer’s. She is lovingly remembered by Wayne, her husband of 63 years; two daughters, Diana Burtts (Scott) and Laurine Limoges (Sean); 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Steven and Samantha; 2 great-grandchildren, Emery and Lucas; two brothers, Raymond Belfour (Debbie), and Terry Belfour (Barb); along with several nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends.
Arlene was born in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan. She met her husband Wayne while they were both serving in the RCAF, and were married in September, 1959.
After living in various places in Canada, Arlene and family settled in Calgary in July, 1970. She worked for Sears, and then for many years with Scotiabank. She had a fondness for Hawaii, and spent many vacations there with her family. Arlene will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Private Family Service will be held for Arlene at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary (www.alzheimercalgary.ca).
