Anna Christine Madsen Gabas

MADSEN-GABAS, Anna Christina – September 09, 1925 – Denmark to October 27, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta Anna Madsen (nee Jensen) of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Anna passed peacefully in her sleep at home. Anna and her husband and their 3 very young boys emigrated from Denmark to Canada in 1952 landing at pier 21 in Halifax. Anna leaves to mourn 3 boys Erik (Marjorie), Knud (Arlene) and Robert. Anna was blessed with grandchildren, Rachel (Pradip), Tim, Christian, Dorothy, Guy, Robin (Les) and Darren. She was also blessed with great grandchildren including Poseidon, Arjun, Tulip, Dylan, Cassie, Chloe, Jackson, Tyson, Ryder, Braydon, Hailey and Dylan. Anna was predeceased by her 1st husband Svend Madsen, a son Kurt, and her 2nd husband Joe Gabas. A Memorial Service will be held for Anna at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel. Messages of condolence may be left for the family by visiting www.piersons.ca
