Amber Rose Bjerke passed away on August 30, 2022 at the age of 34. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Alexis “Sera” Bjerke (Isaac) and Alijah Cholo of Calgary. Her parents; Janice “Gale” Blondeau-Getz (Arnold) of Calgary and Bruce Bjerke ( Bernelda) of the Key First Nation. Her siblings; Ayla Bjerke (Marc), April Sutherland (Aaron) and Cody Sewall (Lyall) of Calgary. Her Uncles; Jeffrey Blondeau ( Sheila) of Gold River, Harold Horsefall (Barb) of Calgary, Jason Blondeau of Calgary, and John Blondeau ( Norma) of Calgary. Her Aunts; Maxine Blondeau of Regina, Wendy Bjerke of Edmonton, and Laura Blondeau (Warren) of Toronto. Amber will also be missed by her many cousins.
Amber was born and raised in Calgary, AB. Amber is Saulteaux/ Cree and Norwegian descent, and a member of Pasqua First Nation in Saskatchewan.
She attended high school at the Louise Dean Centre. After graduating high school she decided to further her education and attended CDI College where she received her Hospitality Management Diploma.
Amber was a city girl. However, she loved spending time outside! She enjoyed trips with her family to Kananaskis and Waiporous, AB. She was a wonderful Aunty who adored her nieces Mckaela and Brielle and her nephew Myles.
Amber enjoyed cooking, baking and being a mom. She was humorous and was always laughing. She will be remembered for her kind and caring heart, Her selfless spirit, and contagious laugh.
