Allynn Sandra Chromick

It is with great sadness we share the passing of Allynn Sandra Chromick who passed away quietly surrounded with love in the comfort of her home on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the age of 79 years.

Allynn was born on Sunday, March 23, 1947 in Sudbury, Ontario to Clarence and Myrle Weston. 

Allynn is remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother to 7 amazing grandchildren. 
Her energy and enthusiasm for spending time with family was almost insatiable. She loved photography, the great outdoors, her gardens, painting and needlepoint. 

She loved animals and was an avid supporter of the Calgary Humane Society and zoo's the protected wildlife. Her lap was often adorned by a cat or cats and they served as her loyal companions throughout her life.  They often braved the great outdoors by accompanying her on camping trips and even smaller excursions like neighbourhood walks. 

She will forever be remembered as someone who was easy to talk to, she was opinionated and someone you would love to spend an afternoon talking with over a hot cup of coffee. 

Her pride in her children and their spouses was only surpassed by her grandchildren, whom she cherished every moment she had with them; passing on some of her wit, her charm and her sense of humour. 

Allynn is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gary; her children Tracy (Ian), Steve (Robin), Ed, Geraldine, James and Shannon; and her grandchildren Steven, Kevan, Emilie, Bryon, Tristan, Vanessa, Erica and Josh. She will be dearly missed by her many friends.
