Allan Paul Chase

March 15, 1946 — November 22, 2020

Allan Chase passed away, with those who loved him most by his side, on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the age of 74 years.

Allan was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Regina in 1953. He attended Campion College, University of Saskatchewan and University of Regina. Al taught in the Regina Public School System for 32 years as a middle years teacher and as vice principal with skill and enthusiasm. He excelled in sports at an early age which led to playing with the Regina Rams and the U of S Huskies. His passions also included golf and curling. Most of all, Al was a proud and devoted husband, father and grandpa. He loved his family dearly, and so Heather and Al moved to Calgary in 2018 just so that they could be closer to all of them.

Allan is survived by his wife, Heather; son, Ryan (Audra); daughter, Jada (Michael); four grandchildren, Ayla, Trinity, Liam, and Julia; brothers, Brian(Lynne), Doug (Bev), and Cliff; brother-in-law, Gerry (Jill); sister-in-law, Janet along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Mike and Olga; Heather’s parents, Gerry and Ina; sister-in-law, Yvonne; brother-in-law, Ross and nephews, Gerry and Brian Jr.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rockyview General Hospital, Unit 72 for their wonderful care and compassion. A Private Funeral Service will be held for Allan at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary). If friends so desire, memorial donations in Allan’s name may be made to the Concussion Legacy Foundation Canada, www.concussionfoundation.ca.
