It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alex Merkosky announces his passing at the age of 90 years. He will be greatly missed by his children Beth (Terry) Caron of Calgary, Elaine (Barry) Wannamaker of Calgary, Lorne (Doris) of Buena Park, California, Glen (Sharon) of Airdrie, Mark (Joanne) and Howard (Joanna) both of Calgary; fifteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family. Alex was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Enid. Memorial Service to be held at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (243209 Garden Road NE) on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prince of Peace Manor (285030 Luther Rose Blvd NE, Calgary, AB, T1X 1M9). The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the staff and residence at the Prince of Peace Manor for their care, love and support. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca.
