SERIGHT, Alexander James January 8, 1922 April 7, 2012

Alexander (Alex) Seright passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the age of 90 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years Jean Seright; children James (Rita) Seright, Tom Seright and Judy (Gerry) Boettcher; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and many more family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Alex was born in Calgary’s Mission district and lived his life in Inglewood, Albert Park and Forest Lawn. Although he had many jobs throughout his life, he retired as a machinist from the CPR in 1986. He and Jean have been members for over 25 years of the GFLS Center and the Forest Lawn legion. Alex had a great love for music. He and Jean spent many years square-dancing and he loved to play his violin and spread his musical knowledge to all. He was never in a hurry and the family has many wonderful memories of fishing trips and Sunday drives to who knows where with many “coffee” stops along the way. The family would like to thank Bette Anne, Denise and all the ladies from Sunridge Homecare for their excellent care. Please join the family as they Remember Alex over coffee on Sunday, April 15 from 2 5pm at the Greater Forest Lawn Seniors Center, 3425 26 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Greater Forest Lawn 55+ Society, 3425 26 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB T2B 2P2. Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca.
