Ashley Bruce Whitehead

Ashley Bruce Whitehead passed away peacefully surrounded by family on his 79th birthday, October 3, 2020 in Leduc, Alberta. He joins in heaven his wife of 48 years, Elaine, and older sister Coline who passed last month. He is survived by his children Andrew, Cameron, Alison and Catherine, 8 beloved grandchildren, and his younger sister Dawna.
Ash was deeply committed to his LDS faith, and was recognized by all who knew him as kind-hearted, gentle, trusting and honest. He gave great hugs, and enjoyed simple pleasures like music, vanilla ice cream, card games, singing, and cheering on the Flames.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to his dearest friend Dino Bessas, and Ken Reed, as well as the staff of Extendicare Leduc who provided our father with the highest level of dignity and respect possible.
Those wishing to pay their respects may join friends and family at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, October 7 from 6-9pm.
