Alvin Henry Bolokoski

Al Bolokoski passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the age of 83 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Beverley; children Marilyn (Ron) Tomasta, Gregg (Shelley) Bolokoski and Shannon (Martin) Cuff;’ grandchildren Dara (Chris) Ober, Adam Tomasta (TJ Madigan), Ty (Vanessa) Tomasta, Sunni TOmasta, Benjamin Tomasta, Emma Tomasta, Eric Bolokoski, Parker Bolokoski, Sean Cuff and Jaron Cuff; great grandchildren Preston Ober, Nolan Ober and Keira Ober; sister Judy Friend; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents William & Doris Bolokoski, brother Ervin Bolokoski and sister June Allen.

Al was born in Retlaw, AB. At the age of 5 or 6 his family moved to Lethbridge where he spent the rest of his growing up years. As a teenager he began working on and driving cars which led to his lifelong passion of cars. He not only raced cars but was a mechanic throughout his life. He found the love of his life watching her play basketball and he chased her for 5 years until they were married. After beginning their family they moved to Calgary which has been their home ever since. Al enjoyed fishing but his true passions were his family his church and serving others. He was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Al was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving through the church throughout his life. He especially enjoyed the last few years serving in the Calgary Temple with Beverley. He was always known as a very good man that was kind to everyone. He would serve anyone, no matter the situation. His hand was always out to help another. Al was also known for his smile and sense of humour. He loved to joke and tease.

Due to the pandemic, a Private Family Service will be held for Alvin. If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Al to your local food bank.
